Ponder ISD offers many opportunities for students to participate in athletics.

The boys field teams in baseball, basketball, cross-country, football, golf, powerlifting, soccer and track & field.  The girls compete in basketball, cross-country, golf, softball, powerlifting, soccer, track & field and volleyball. 

Ponder Athletics will be making the move up to Class 4A starting in 2026-2027 school year. 

In football, Ponder competes in District 6-4A, Division 2.

In basketball, track & field, and volleyball, Ponder competes in District 9-4A.

In baseball, Ponder competes in District 10-4A.

In tennis, Ponder competes in District 11-4A.

In soccer, Ponder competes in  District 6-4A.
